Aarhus Central Station—located in Denmark’s second-largest city—is undergoing a major infrastructure upgrade between 2025 and 2026 as part of a nationwide railway modernisation and electrification programme led by Banedanmark.
The project is being delivered by Aarsleff Rail A/S and includes platform upgrades and extensions, track lowering to enable overhead electrification, and the rollout of new digital signalling systems. These improvements are part of Denmark’s long-term strategy to create a more efficient, sustainable and future-ready rail network.
As part of this large-scale upgrade, Uniseals supplied IQ Futura cable chambers, along with custom-designed steel frames and recessed covers. These solutions play a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable and future-proof cable routing for the station’s new electrical and digital infrastructure.
